Ipoteka bank OTP Group has started issuing Uzcard Moment cards, which are processed and issued during a single bank branch visit — in approximately five minutes. Until November 30, 2026, issuance for individuals is free.
How it works
Customers receive a card on their first bank visit: no need to wait for production or return later. The card is ready to use immediately after processing and activation.
Only a passport or ID card is required.
About functionality
The key feature of instant cards is that the cardholder's name and surname are not printed on them. However, the card is linked to the holder in the bank's system and is a full-fledged product with completed identity verification.
Uzcard Moment has the same capabilities as standard cards of this payment system:
- payment at retail and service outlets;
- money transfers;
- cash withdrawal;
- public transport payment through the ATTO system;
- connection to the bank's mobile application.
Context: focus on mobile app
Since September, the bank has been developing a new application as a primary service channel. Since launch, it has been downloaded over 340,000 times, with active users reaching 241,000.
The instant card fits naturally into this strategy: customers receive the physical card on-site and immediately add it to the application, then conduct main operations remotely.
What to expect in practice
The bank notes that processing and issuance time may vary depending on customer flow and operational load at a specific branch. Five minutes refers to the procedure itself, not the entire visit.
The absence of a name on the card does not matter for most operations, but may be an obstacle where a personalized card is required — such as certain booking types or foreign services.
You can compare fees for card issuance and maintenance in the Uzbek bank cards section, and a selection of cards with free issuance will help assess how competitive this offer is.
