Fifty million soums in a deposit is no longer a "piggy bank," but a source of significant income: the difference between a smart and average bank choice amounts to several million per year. At the same time, the entire amount fits within the state guarantee limit, so the main question is not "is it safe" but "where is it more profitable." We compare the best catalog offers by real returns, not by the banner figure.

Market in numbers

In the MONIQ catalog today there are 124 soum deposits from 27 banks. Maximum rate — 23% per annum, market average — about 17.6%. A spread of 5–6 percentage points on 50 million turns into 2.5–3 million soums per year.

How much 50 million will earn over a year

We calculate income for 12 months before taxes. Where capitalization exists, we show two options — with reinvested interest and without.

  • Tayanchim, 23% with weekly capitalization — about 12.9 million. If you withdraw interest each week — 11.5 million.
  • AVO Deposit, 22% with monthly capitalization — about 12.2 million. Without capitalization — 11 million.
  • Anor bank, 20% with daily payout — 10 million «in hand» in daily installments; if the income is returned to deposit immediately — up to 11.1 million.
  • Bugunoq Foyda, 20% in advance — 10 million on the opening day. Placing them in a second deposit at 20% will earn another 2 million — total 12 million per year.
  • Poytaxt OYMA-OY and Apex Vector, 20% monthly — 10 million, or about 830 thousand per month.
  • Market average rate, 17.6% — 8.8 million.

Result: between the best option and «average» — 4.1 million soums. Between the best and simply good — another 1–2 million. This is the cost of one evening comparing terms.

Why 22% beats 23%

Nominal rate is only half the truth. If interest is added to the deposit body, each subsequent payout is calculated on a larger amount:

  • 23% with weekly capitalization — effective 25.8%;
  • 22% with monthly capitalization — effective 24.4%;
  • 23% without capitalization — exactly 23%;
  • 20% with daily payout and reinvestment — about 22.1%.

A deposit at 22% with capitalization yields more than a deposit at 23% without it. Compare the final amount at year-end, not the percentages.

What else influences the choice

  1. Term. Top rates are tied to 24 months. If funds may be needed sooner — choose a product with partial withdrawal (Tayanchim, AVO, Anor, Apex) or 12-month.
  2. Early closure. Without the withdrawal option, early termination zeroes interest to the «on demand» rate.
  3. Institution type. The rate leader is a microfinance bank. Before opening, make sure the organization participates in the deposit guarantee system.
  4. Guarantee. 50 million is fully covered by state protection in one bank — splitting the amount is not required, but not prohibited either.
  5. Tax. A 5% tax on deposit interest is being discussed. If introduced, approximately 500–650 thousand soums will be deducted from each calculation above.

Three scenarios for 50 million

  • Maximum income, funds not needed for two years — Tayanchim at 23% with weekly capitalization: 12.9 million in the first year and more in the second.
  • Flexibility and phone opening — AVO Deposit at 22%: opens online with no minimum, allows replenishment and withdrawals, and with capitalization yields 12.2 million.
  • Monthly income «for living» — Apex Vector or Poytaxt OYMA-OY at 20%: steady 830 thousand soums each month, or Anor bank with daily payouts.

Rates are reviewed several times per year, so before opening it's worth checking current deposits in Uzbek banks with filters by term, capitalization, and withdrawal options. Fifty million placed correctly becomes sixty-three in a year. Placed randomly — 4 million less.
