What is Paynet?

Paynet is one of the oldest payment systems in Uzbekistan that helps residents quickly pay for everyday services: mobile communications, internet, utility bills, television, fines, taxes and much more. The name has become so familiar that for many residents of the country, the expression "pay through Paynet" means any balance top-up.

Initially, the service developed as a network of payment points in stores, kiosks and shopping pavilions, where an agent or terminal accepted payments. Over time, the company moved into the digital space and launched a mobile application that allows payments from bank cards without visiting payment offices.

How Paynet works

  • Agent network. The customer comes to a service point, states a phone number or account number and hands over cash. The payment is credited to the service provider almost instantly.
  • Payment terminals. Self-service through terminals that accept cash and cards.
  • Mobile application. The user links cards from national payment systems and pays for services, transfers money and tops up their wallet online.
  • Integration with providers. The system is connected to telecom operators, utilities, government services, internet providers and commercial companies.

Who it's suitable for

Paynet is especially convenient for those accustomed to paying in cash, as well as residents of regions where an extensive network of payment points remains an important alternative to online banking. Smartphone users can perform the same operations through the application.
