The Central Bank of Uzbekistan approved a unified 0.65% rate for participants of the Yagona UzQR system. The commission will be charged to merchants and service providers accepting payments; customers will not pay it.

How the commission will be distributed

The Central Bank stated that the commission will be transparently distributed among all participants in the payment chain depending on their role and actual costs.

What is Yagona UzQR

Yagona UzQR is a unified QR system for cashless payments. It allows you to pay for goods and services through any bank or payment app using a single QR code.

The system is being implemented as part of a payment infrastructure development program. The program aims to increase the share of cashless transactions and create more convenient conditions for businesses and consumers.

Context: existing QR services

Various QR services already operate in Uzbekistan, including TezQR, Payme QR, Click QR, Uzum QR, Rahmat, and Paynet. In some cases, the commission for businesses is around 1% or higher. Some solutions function only within individual ecosystems and applications.

For businesses accepting payments, the unified 0.65% rate represents a certain level of costs when working through Yagona UzQR. For customers, payment conditions remain unchanged: no commissions are provided.
