TRON is a blockchain platform for smart contracts and decentralized applications, founded by Justin Sun in 2017. The main network has been operating since 2018. Blocks are confirmed by elected "super representatives" using the Delegated Proof-of-Stake algorithm: TRX holders vote for them with their coins. The native cryptocurrency TRX is used to pay fees, stake, and obtain network resources — bandwidth and energy. Due to fast and cheap transfers, TRON became one of the leading networks for stablecoins, particularly USDT in the TRC-20 standard. TRX is among the largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization.

FAQ
-
TRON is a blockchain platform for smart contracts and decentralized applications. Its main features are high speed and low fees. TRX is the network's native cryptocurrency: it is used to pay fees, staking, and voting for validators.
-
TRON was founded by entrepreneur Justin Sun in 2017. The TRON DAO Foundation oversees network development. In 2018, TRON acquired BitTorrent, the developer of the peer-to-peer file-sharing protocol, and its services became part of the ecosystem.
-
TRON uses a Delegated Proof-of-Stake algorithm. Blocks are created by "super representatives" — validators chosen by TRX holders who vote with their coins. This model allows the network to confirm transactions quickly, but makes it more centralized than Bitcoin or Ethereum.
-
No. TRX is not mined. New coins are issued as rewards to super representatives and voters who support them, and part of network fees are burned.
-
These are network resources for paying transaction fees. Bandwidth is spent on regular transfers, while energy is used for smart contract operations, including token transfers like USDT. If resources are insufficient, the fee is deducted in TRX. Resources can be obtained by freezing TRX in staking or renting them from other users.
-
A holder can freeze TRX in a wallet to earn energy or bandwidth, as well as votes. By voting for a super representative, they receive a share of the reward. Unfreezing coins takes time, so staking is not suitable for funds that may be needed urgently.

- Residents may buy, sell and exchange crypto assets only through providers licensed by the NAPP — crypto exchanges, crypto shops, crypto depositories and mining pools registered as legal entities resident in Uzbekistan.
- The register of licences is maintained by the National Agency of Perspective Projects. Licences are issued and revoked, so the composition of the register changes — check the status of a venue at the moment of the transaction.
- Until 1 January 2029 transactions with crypto assets are not subject to taxation, and income from them is not included in aggregate income.
- Crypto assets are not traded on the RSE «Toshkent» and are not available through a broker account. There are no guaranteed returns, investments are not insured, and the price may change by tens of percent in a short time.
