The number of bank cards in circulation in Uzbekistan in July increased by 1 million 74 thousand units. According to the Central Bank as of August 1, 2026, the total number of cards exceeded 75 million 686 thousand.
Who drove the growth
The main contribution was made by digital banks and organizations actively developing remote service channels. During the month, the number of cards increased:
- Uzum Bank — +216.9 thousand;
- Hamkorbank — +188.2 thousand;
- Garant Bank — +142 thousand;
- ANORBANK — +127.7 thousand;
- People's Bank — +118.1 thousand.
At the same time, several players saw their card base shrink: Kapitalbank (−25 thousand), Asaka Bank (−12.3 thousand) and Orient Finance Bank (−10.2 thousand).
The five million club
Six organizations currently have a base of more than 5 million cards:
- People's Bank — 12.1 million;
- Uzum Bank — 7.2 million;
- Agrobank — 6.8 million;
- Mortgage Bank — 5.7 million;
- Hamkorbank — 5.2 million;
- ANORBANK — 5.1 million.
Over 3 million cards are serviced by Uznatcbank (4.3 million), Ipak Yuli (3.8 million), TBC Bank (3.6 million), Uzpromstroibank (3.1 million) and Alokabank (3 million).
A telling detail: with a population of around 38 million people, the number of cards is twice the population — meaning each active user has several cards from different issuers. Customers increasingly prefer to compare Uzbek banks in practice rather than through tariff descriptions.
Payment terminals: network grew to 453.5 thousand
In July, the number of payment terminals increased by 5,354 units — to almost 453.5 thousand. Leaders in installation: Hamkorbank (+1,710), Mortgage Bank (+1,210), Uzpromstroibank (+441), Orient Finance Bank (+344) and Garant Bank (+295).
Six banks saw their network shrink — including Alokabank (−58) and Ipak Yuli (−42).
ATMs and turnover
The network of ATMs and information kiosks increased by 331 units and exceeded 47 thousand. The main growth was provided by payment organizations (+158), among banks Uznatcbank led (+113).
From January to July, over 387.4 trillion soums passed through payment terminals. The average turnover of one terminal over seven months was 854 million soums. Alokabank, Uznatcbank, TBC Bank, Hamkorbank and Ipak Yuli lead in terms of receipts.
