LLC FurtherIT, a subsidiary of JSC Paynet, will invest 17.2 billion som in the digital investment platform GoInvest and plans to gradually increase its stake to 51%.
The transaction is the next step in a long-term strategy to develop a digital financial ecosystem and expand the range of financial and investment services.
Entry into international markets
Following completion of the deal, the parties intend to develop digital channels for access to the capital market, expand the product line, and implement remote brokerage technologies.
The key focus is to enable Uzbekistan's population to conduct securities transactions not only on the domestic market but also on international stock exchanges, including the US market.
This is a significant shift: today, a retail investor in the country is limited to local instruments and tracks stock prices of Uzbek issuers, while access to foreign securities remains legally restricted.
Digital wallet as a funding channel
The plans include replenishing brokerage accounts through digital wallets, as well as using mobile applications of both companies and Paynet's wide user base.
A separate area of cooperation is improving financial literacy for novice investors through educational courses and training programs across the country.
Integration into a unified environment
One of the key priorities will be integrating GoInvest's investment services into the Paynet ecosystem—combining payment, financial, and investment solutions in a single digital environment.
GoInvest is a digital platform providing access to securities transactions on Uzbekistan's capital market through a mobile application.
As noted by Paynet CEO Anwar Isamukhamedov, developing the investment business is among the company's strategic priorities, and combining the capabilities of both platforms will make investment services more accessible to customers.
Legal and consulting support for the transaction was provided by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) at the preparation, structuring, and closing stages.
